FKH offers assistance with industrial development work, not only within the scope of the testing procedures it performs but also for special investigations. To date, questions in the following areas have been studied: electrostatics, electromagnetic fields, gas discharges, insulation technology, dielectric material properties and measuring methods. When FKH carries out development tests, it undertakes to treat technical information made available to it as confidential.

Support with environmental issues

FKH regularly plays its part in answering environmental questions that arise in connection with the operation of electrical systems and lines. FKH responds to questions concerning the endangerment or impairment of living organisms, and also the influencing of technical systems. The focus is on problems related to electromagnetic emissions, EMC, earthing and the effects of stray current; hazards in case of short circuits or ground faults due to insulation defects are also examined.
